Life Groups – Life is better Connected

Life is meant to be lived in community. It’s so important we have the word community in our church name!

God himself is in a community of three persons in one—the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—who exist in perfect unity. So it is not surprising that from the beginning, God created us to be in community with one another. Genesis 2:18 states: “It is not good for man to be alone.” This passage is often used in the context of marriage, but it also speaks to our fundamental need to connect with others in the human community.

It’s tough to have deep relationships by merely attending a big event like a church service. That’s where life groups come in. Especially as our lives have been impacted by Coronavirus, we need to be intentional in connecting with others outside of church. Real relationships are built out of shared experiences: conversations, serving others together, and being there for each other when a need arises. As we follow Christ together, friendships emerge. It is more than just a Sunday thing. It is a way of life.

Life groups have taken on a different format in Spring 2020 as we respond to COVID-19 and its impacts on our community. To find out what Life Groups are currently offered at Generations, check out the “CONNECT” section of our website.
